Tot School...kind of (Week 13)

Caeden is currently 25 months old.
For more Tot School ideas, check out Carisa's post at 1+1+1=1!

I'll be honest, I didn't do our letter "R" again this week...I did get things printed off AND I finally got some more laminating sheets. :)

I did actually sit down and do activities with Caeden, I just may have not gotten a picture of it. He has been into books like crazy, so we did a lot of reading. I checked out books that were about rainbows, the color red, and circles (to talk about things that are Round). I also picked up a few great Tot School tools to use that I found at Target's $1 spot (which I L-O-V-E).

Warning: This post is quite random since I did not get a whole lot of our activities on camera.

On Tuesday we had our Tot Time at the library. I took some pictures of C playing before it started. He actually got a few feet away from us without getting scared! This is a big step for C. :)

In C's playroom, I had these jelly-like window clings that were in the shape of caterpillars, ladybugs, and butterflies. I never let C stand up on the table that is below the window, but for some reason I allowed it this day. He crawled up there and started taking the clings off, and then putting them back on. He would line them up, and then put one on top of the other. After about 10 minutes, he started putting them on his head. We were getting a giggle out of it, so then I started doing the, "Can you put the bugs on your____?" to help with identifying body parts. I would call out knees, arms, hands, tummy, ears, etc. The picture I took is of him putting them on his feet. :)

Unfortunately we will never do this activity again because later that evening he tore them apart and put them in the trash. :)

We got out the beads to practice stringing, and sorting using muffin tins. I was asked to watch another Tot one day so he joined in with C and Daddy.

We had some relaxation time with a snack (probably not really considered Tot School)...and C's favorite show The Wonder Pets. :)

Daddy picked out an activity for us to do for Tot School. He picked out a Thomas floor puzzle that was for ages 4-8. :) I'm sure you can guess if C was interested in it or not. He loved that it was Thomas, but had fun going through the pieces and walking over them. So Daddy and I put it together, and then C put the last piece in. It's the thought that counts!

I added some photos of my great finds (at least to me they are) from Target:

1. Foam colored squares and shapes
2. Dry erase board
3 & 4. Fun little calendar to use until I get this one from Oriental Trading (someday). :)

My favorite pictures of the week. To read the story behind these photos, read my I ♥ Duct Tape post. :)

Now...onto letter "R"! :)
