Caeden is currently 27 months old.
Caeden and I had an absolutely crazy week, and didn't get as much Tot School (we still had a lot of 1:1 time just nothing "planned") time as I wanted, but we did get a few activities done!
The "Tot Time" at our library started back up last week on Tuesday's. We arrived at the library a little earlier so C could have some time to run around and pick out some books. I was looking at books and when I turned around to see what he was doing, I saw this...
and I thought how awesome it was to see him sitting so quietly, just looking through the book that he picked out! :)
The theme for "Tot Time" last week was "On The Farm". C had a difficult time adjusting to the session since the last one. He is at a stage where he is a very sensitive, and shy child, and he usually has a death grip on my neck. It's like he didn't remember going to Tot Time just a month ago. I did not force him to participate much, but encouraged him to at least sing along (which he didn't). He was just so nervous and anxious the whole time. I know he will get used to it again, and everyone tells me he will outgrow the anxiety stage, but it's difficult to see your child so afraid of other children.
Alphabet: Letter "Y"
C asked to do the Do•A•Dot markers again this week, so I had him use those to decorate the letter "Y" that I printed from HERE. He absolutely loves these!
ART:
I got the Do•A•Dot markers out again when one of C's friends came over to play. They did a great job making beautiful pictures! :)
I also purchased dry-erase crayons and thought we would try those out this week. They are really neat, and do wipe off fairly easy from dry-erase boards.
Just do not get it on walls, or fabric...when C was lining his up he made an orange streak in the carpet. I'm sure it wipes up easily, but I wouldn't leave him unsupervised. :)
Fine Motor/Eye Coordination:
In my post last week I talked about our new activity Button Art. C continued to ask do do this activity every day this week.
Free Play:
I took C down to the basement so he could run around and just play for a while. He liked sitting on the sit-n-spin and then jumping into his
Puzzles:
C still asked to do "puh-zles" this week so I set those out again, and also purchased two new ones to help with colors and the alphabet. (I didn't take pictures since they were pretty much like my last few posts...I did capture a cute video). :)
Books:
We of course read books. I still find it so surprising that C will sit through the longest books! He loves reading books, and am thankful for that!! Here are some books that we checked out of the library this week:
My favorites:
Visiting Daddy at work this week and got to color on the chalkboard!
That was our week! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!

I love the pic at the library! Isn't it precious when you see them sitting quietly studying a book?!
What a fun week! Tot Time looks like fun.
Kayleigh goes back to the Little Gym this week after the summer off. Hopefully she won't be nervous.
