Tiny Talk Tuesday•Childlike Prayers

Caeden is currently 30 months old.

Caeden has been talking so much lately that we can hardly get a word in edge wise!  Unfortunately, I have been too busy to keep up with writing down the cute, and funny things he has been saying.  But, the last two nights are worthy of a post. :)

Last night, we put up our Christmas tree and of course, Caeden thought it was the coolest thing ever!  He talked about it all night before going to bed.  We asked Caeden if he would like a turn to pray before we laid him down...this was his prayer:

Daddy:  "Caeden, would you like to pray tonight?"
C:  "Okay.  Deer Loard.  Tank you for mommy and daddy, my toys, our tree...our tree...our tree...our tree...our tree...my toddaler bed, my music, my toes... amen."

Tonight he prayed for...
C: "Deer Loard.  Tank you for mommy, daddy, Caeden, my Christmas tree, my diapers, my diaper bed, my crib, mommy's bed, grandma, grandpa, my toddaler bed, my jammies..."
Daddy & Mommy:  "Amen." (laughing)

As I listened to my child pray (or thanking God for everything in his room and house), I was reminded that even God wants us to pray for the little things...things that are important to us.  I can only imagine the smile, and maybe chuckle, that is on God's face when His little children pray...even us big children. :)

Don't you just love it when God uses our children to remind us of his truths? Hearing my kids prayers truly humbles and touches me too and I often think of the smile it must bring to our Lord's face.

I completely forgot to post something at Tiny Talk last week! I love that you wrote about your son's prayers. My son has just started to pray little prayers and it is so touching.
