Caeden is currently 30 months old.
I have been way behind on keeping up with my Tot School posts. Doesn't mean Caeden and I haven't been having 1:1 time, it just means I've been busy!! I did manage to capture a few of our activities this week. Here are the highlights of our week!
Art: "Marble" Painting!!
Okay, I don't have any marbles..the ball is from our stringing beads set. It works. We did three different paintings...a red one, a green one, and then a green/red one (can you tell a theme?). I placed a piece of card stock in the bottom of the shoebox...poured a little paint into it and then had C shake the box. We talked about "directions"...moving from side to side, up and down, etc. He wasn't a big fan of the shaking, because he was mostly interested in opening the lid.
I have yet to make the paintings into candy canes, and Christmas trees like I've wanted. :-)Easel Fun:
I got out watercolors and chalk for C to use on his easel {we have a different one than the one I linked too}. I need to get bigger pieces of paper that are sturdier so he doesn't have to reach so high to paint! He still loves painting cars, and then having me paint Christmas trees.
He also happened to spot his Crayola Beginnings crayons and markers so of course we got those out too.
Tot Packs:
I wanted to make C some new Tot Packs, so I headed over to Carisa's blog at 1+1+1=1, where she has several different Tot Packs. C does have the Cars and the Big Machines one which he loves. I found a Christmas Tot Pack and a Nativity one. I think these are super cute and a great tool to use (at least for us) during times I see the "bored + will act out" look. ;-)
Christmas Books:
We've also been reading several Christmas books this month. Here are some that we really enjoy:
Just For Fun:
We did have some fun moments last week that I wanted to share. The first one is of C relaxing in his purple chair that he likes to "recline" in. He happened to fall over backwards...laughing all the way.
Mom's Favorite:
My favorite pictures usually consist of C and his Daddy. I love watching them spend time together. :-)
