See what Tot School is all about at 1+1+1=1
We managed to have ONE day of Tot school at home this week. We had several activities at the library this week, and then met a good friend of mine and her kids at the park. I attempted to do some art activities with C on Friday but he shook his head no when I asked him if he wanted to do Tot School. :) So I didn't force him.
We finally got to our letter "O" for his ABC book that we've been making. My mother found a package of sponges cut like shapes at a garage sale, so I got the circle shape out for him to paint with. I attached a clothespin to the top (didn't hold very well) so C would have something to hold onto. He did a fairly good job using it, but was more interested in the clothespin which he ended up breaking. :)
I get the letter templates from here.
I let C use the Crayola Pip Squeak markers. They are much easier for him to hold and maneuver. You can see in a few of these pictures that he was trying to trace his hand. :) We did that a lot on the Magna Doodle when we were traveling.
I also got the Magna Doodle out as a transition activity while I went to get the play dough. He still really likes to play with it!
Play dough!
Our activity that we did on the floor was the peg board. He is really starting to enjoy this more than he did at the beginning. We attempted to practice colors, but everything seems to be "bue" right now. :)
As I said earlier, we only got to one day of activities at home. We had several fun things at the library this week. C is now able to go to Tot Time at the library. We had his first session on Tuesday and the theme was "Under The Sea". He did a super job of participating, with mom and dad's help of course! I think he is really going to enjoy it! I checked out another Sneak Bag that had an Under the Sea theme (I thought how fitting).
They make crafts during Tot Time, so here is C's completed craft (daddy kind of forgot to let C just stick them anywhere, so that is why it's a little "neat" for a 2 year old.) :)
The Under The Sea sneak Bag...
And the Dinosaur sneak bag that I checked out last week...
We also attended a show at the library on Wednesday. "Mr. Stinky Feet" came to visit our library and had three sessions that we could attend. There were A LOT of kids there, so C was a bit timid and not sure what was going on. We sang and "danced". He was really good. I believe he travels around the country so if you hear of him coming to a town near you, you should check him out!
We also check out more books when we were there again on Wednesday so we had plenty of reading time this week! Here are just a few that we've read over...and over...and over again. :)
And that was our week! We'll be moving on to our next letter, and hopefully we will get a printer cartridge this weekend so I can print some more stuff!
My favorite C moment this week:
