Tiny Talk Tuesday

Caeden is currently 27 months old.

My husband and I have a "parrot" in our house.  Caeden seems to be catching every last word we say which makes it kind of funny around here.  I'm amazed at the sudden change in his talking and how he actually has put a few words together to make sentences (well, very short sentences).

Over this past weekend, we took my in-laws to the zoo.  We were getting into the car and I think Grandma asked Caeden what we were going to do next (a little foggy on this story).  He immediately said, "Go eat?"  She asked him if he was ready for lunch and again it was "Go eat?"  So we went and got lunch!  Carol later asked me if we go eat after the zoo and I told her we did so he must have put it together that since we went to the zoo, it's time to eat! :)

My favorite thing Caeden has been saying lately is, "I wove wu daddy" or "wove wu".  Melts my heart.

He's also been wanting me to sing a few songs to him before he lays down.  His playlist consists of:  

 

"Sing Happy Mommy!":  Really it's the Happy Birthday song b/c my birthday was the last one we celebrated, so we've been singing Happy Birthday to me for almost the entire month now. :)

"Abc'ssss":  The ever popular ABC song.  I try and mix it up every time.  and I love how he only says a few letters..."C...P....S...Z"

"Aaaaaaaa":  This song i got from Barney (when I worked at a daycare)  It's called something like "raindrops or gumdrops" or "standing in the rain".

"Wesus woves me":  (Jesus Loves Me)  This one is my favorite because when I say, "He is strong", Caeden will put his hands on his chest trying to mimic having strong muscles. :)
